My Journey to Self program uses Neuro Linguistic Program (NLP) Techniques, Time Paradigm Techniques™ and Hypnotherapy to improve the following areas in your life:

Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP)

Neuro Linguistic Programming can be described as the fundamental dynamics between our Mind (Neuro) and our Language (Linguistic) and how their collaboration affects our body and our Behaviour (Programming).

Neuro

Referring to the nervous system, or mind, through which our experiences, both conscious and unconscious, are  processed through our Five Senses, Visual, Auditory, Kinaesthetic, Olfactory, and Gustatory.

Linguistic

Referring to the language and other nonverbal communication systems we use to create and reveal to ourselves and others our unique model of the world, the way we think about the world, and the way we give meanings through our own experiences of the world. Which include pictures, sounds, feelings, tastes, smells and self talk.

Programming

Referring to the ability to discover and utilise the programs that we run in our neurological systems to achieve our specific and desired outcomes, our behaviours, and when we communicate with ourselves and others.

NLP began in the mid-70’S in America with the work of John Grinder, a professor of linguistics, and Richard Bandler, a psychologist. They began by studying excellent communicators, and building models of communication skills. These methods could then be taught to others so they to could get the best results in their life.

NLP also studies how we structure our subjective experiences, how we think about our values and beliefs, how we create our emotional states, how we build our internal world and give it meaning. Neuro Linguistic Programming is the premier psychological field that deals with the internal subjective world from the inside.

In essence NLP is the study of excellence in one’s self and seeks to educate people in self-awareness and effective communication, and to change their patterns of mental and emotional behaviour into states that benefit them more positively and successfully.

Time Paradigm Techniques

What are you struggling with right now? What unwanted habit, what unresolved negative emotions, what old pattern? Resolve these and your entire life will change. This is what we use Time Paradigm Techniques for.

These techniques are a process of active imagination where you imagine floating above your Time Line and letting go of limiting decisions and/or limiting beliefs. You are then asked to create events in your future that support your goals or outcomes. Time Paradigm Techniques have demonstrated results in a broad variety of presenting problems. It is a powerful technique which allows you to make long-lasting changes in a very rapid way. I am a certified practitioner of the Time Paradigm Techniques.

Hypnotherapy

This is the use of trance to make changes at the unconscious level. Hypnosis has been used to produce unconscious change with clients since 1843.

Hypnotherapy uses Hypnosis to induce a deep state of relaxation, during which our sub or unconscious minds are highly receptive to new perspectives and ideas.

The reason Hypnosis is so effective lies in the extreme power of our unconscious mind, which is responsible for keeping us safe and helping us. Our unconscious mind is thought to process literally 100,000’s of pieces of information at any given time, whilst storing over 400,000,000 relating to our beliefs, attitudes, behavioural habits, memories, etc.

Our unconscious mind takes care of all our automatic responses, such as the regulation of our breathing, blood circulation and tissue repair, all without us having to consciously think about it. But the unconscious mind also stores all our learned responses, i.e. behaviours we’ve learnt since birth. These might include walking, picking things up or riding a bike, to name some of the positive ones and again, all of these we do without consciously having to think about it.

But the unconscious mind also stores our less resourceful and sometimes problematic learned responses or behavioural habits, which might include being afraid of flying, or having anxiety in certain situations, or plain old smoking. So in order to modify some of these responses, or habits, or even behaviours, it follows that we must first access the unconscious mind and re-program it.

This process is called Hypnotherapy, a safe and enjoyable process that can change lives in the most positive and exciting of ways.

I am trained and certified as a Hypnotherapist by NLP Coaching CC and the American Board of Hypnotherapy.

My function is to help you access the resources within yourself to create the behaviour that will result in you being the best parent you can be. Let me remind you that you already have within you what you need to create the life you want.

I will teach you how to understand and take control of your inner world. 97% of our behaviour occurs without us consciously thinking about it. That means that we only consciously consider 3% of our behaviour. That explains why, in spite of all our efforts, we don’t always get the results we want.

My Journey to Self program is about gaining control of that 97% of your behaviour that currently runs on autopilot. What you do right now is determining the results in your life anyway, even if you don’t feel in control. Why not learn how to consciously take control, so that you can get the results that you want instead?

Below is very simplified model of how we create results in our lives. Our actions produce our results. Our thinking causes our actions and our conditioned minds are responsible for our thinking. You’re most likely reading this page because you have tried to change your actions and your thinking and you are not succeeding yet. Lasting change occurs in the conditioned mind. What goes on in your conditioned mind determines what you get to think about. That is why changing your thinking and actions without engaging the conditioned mind is very difficult and often a long and painful process. You will engage with your conditioned mind, probably for the first time in your life, during the program.

My program is essentially made up of 4 steps

1. Education of Self

You will learn how your internal model of communication works. In other words, you will learn why you perceive the world the way you do. I will also teach you how to give yourself proper instruction resulting in greater performance.

2. Dealing with the Past

The reality is that no matter how aware you are of your potential and your abilities or how well you can instruct yourself, your past will cause you to feel like those choices are not real options. If you are going to be empowered to always be at choice then your past needs to lose its foothold over you.

What exactly does this mean?

We all have baggage that we have accumulated until now. In other words, we all have anger, sadness, fear, guilt and hurt that we carry with us every day from the past. You either gain wisdom or baggage from any event that has happened. This part of my program is really profound, as you will learn to free yourself from your baggage

3. Now Strategies

Having dealt with the past you are now equipped to look at the present through new eyes. Only now can you make the necessary changes in your mind that will cause your behavior, and therefore your results, to change. This step of the process is about re-aligning your inner child and outer world to congruently work as one, supporting your dreams and goals.

4. Creating the Future

Facing the future, baggage free and with the necessary tools, is very exciting. You can now create new connections and new ways to communicate with your children, from a state of mindful awareness.
